Books from Dad
This past weekend we were all back in Buffalo for my younger brother's wedding. It was, as expected, an amazing party. Oscar took his first flight and rocked it both ways! We learned a lot about traveling with a baby which is what we were hoping would happen. A short one-hour flight is a great practice run!
While home, I finally got to take my nephews and niece out for books and ice cream! This is typically a bi-annual tradition. However, last Christmas we had a giant snow storm and we missed it. I had to get it in this weekend! My dad, the man, and Oscar joined us as well.
While we were perusing the bookshelves, the SO (significant other...no longer just a BF ;)) picked out a couple of books for Oscar. I read them to Oscar this week and he loved them! I thought I would share them with you, in case you were looking for some Dad-Approved books for your little one.

I knew a few things about babies before I had my own. One thing I didn't know is just how much they get gas! This came as a shock to me and other moms in my new mom group. The first few times we got a good chuckle but now, well, I'll be honest. We still crack up every time Oscar lets one rip. My friend tells me his daughter, when she was younger, used to say, "Bless you, butt," every time she passed gas. Man, I love that.
So of course, when the SO saw this book he knew we had to have it.

The SO has a gorgeous Harley. Before Oscar, we loved to take trips together. I joked that we needed to get a sidecar so we could put Oscar in one of those cutie hats and goggles and we could go on a family adventure. That hasn't happened yet. However, this book is a baby primer on motorcycles. The best part is you can zoom it up and down baby legs and bellies...or I guess they could play with it too.

Photo Booths at weddings are amazing. We attempted a YMCA but I got the C and couldn't figure out which way it was supposed to go. I got it wrong. |
