Cool Things - There's No Place Like...a Wonderland!
If you've been following my social media posts over the past week, you will know that today is the big reveal! So for today's cool things post I am posting the coolest thing that has ever happened to me. Even cooler than being backstage at the Aerosmith concert with Johnny Depp and Gene Simmons. If you want THAT story you'll have to visit me in the shop sometime. And you can!
On June 1, I'll be moving in to 295 Parkside Ave, Buffalo, NY! It will take me a bit of time to get things up and running so if you walk past, for now you'll see only brown paper in the windows. As soon as I know the opening date I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, visit some of my neighbors! There are great things happening in Parkside! Below are the pictures and clues I've posted over the last week.

Oh hey, it's Alice, Ever After Books!! |
Alice gets thrown into a game of croquet using a live flamingo as a mallet, a live hedgehog as a ball, and playing card soldiers as arches. You can play croquet in our neighborhood, you might just have to use the traditional equipment. This is Delaware Park! Delaware Park, and the Parkside neighborhood, were designed by Frederick Olmsted.

Alice wandered into a garden full of talking flowers. If you want to wander into a garden in our neighborhood, this is where you would go. This is the Darwin Martin House - a Frank Lloyd Wright house right here in Parkside!
Alice meets a group of all sorts of birds. If you want to see lots of birds in our neighborhood, or any other animals, this is where you would go...The Buffalo Zoo! The zoo is right across the street from Alice, Ever After Books. Stop by to grab a book before, or after, you take a peek at the new lion cubs!

Alice found a small cake that said, "Eat me." If you want to eat cakes, large or small, or cupcakes...or cookies...and so much more, this is where you would go in our neighborhood...our next door neighbors, Fairy Cakes! Can you just imagine the fun we'll have with books and cupcakes?? It's about to get really delicious, folks!
Bonus?? The block where Alice, Ever After Books will call home is filled with ALL women owned businesses. Two other businesses not photographed, but also woman owned, are Lavish Lush Co and The Groom Room Pet Spa & Lounge. That makes this a pretty special place, in my opinion. I can't wait to see you when we open our doors. In the meantime, our online bookstore is open and you can have books from Alice, Ever After Books shipped right to your door!
Welcome to the neighborhood!!❤️
